H.Harrold & Sons Ltd was established in 1919 by William Harrold after leaving his employment with a firm of white smiths in Derby. The company, which is based within half a mile of Sheffield city centre, is one of the best known locksmiths and safe and security engineers in the North of England. Four generations later, it is still owned and run by members of the same family.

The business is affiliated to the Master Locksmiths Association and has, over the years, developed an outstanding reputation within the trade. In the early days, the main function was dealing with basic locksmithing, such as key cutting and general lock repairs. Now, in line with modern technology, the company’s service includes the installation and maintenance of the full range of electrical locking systems, digital door locks and access control systems.
